Featuring multiple era encampments and displays of the Revolutionary War era, the Barbary Coast Wars, the War of 1812, the American Civil War, World War II, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, the War on Terror, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and our present day mission preparedness.

Our mission is to honor the service and sacrifice of the American Soldier, Sailor, Airman and Marine over our Nation’s History through living history impressions, encampments, and in Veterans recognition programs, lecture series and battle recreations.

A Walk in Their Boots is an all era living history event which focuses upon the American Soldier though time.

Through living history encampments, demonstrations and battle reenactments, the educational objective of the event  is to honor those that lived, fought and died during some of the most difficult moments of American and world history.

The primary focus of the event is upon the life and times of those who participated in the Revolutionary War,  the American Civil War, World War One, World War Two, Korea, Vietnam and conflicts spanning into the 21st century.

The event takes place within the historic confines of the Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site in beautiful northeast Tennessee within the town of Johnson City. (37601)
