the War of 1812, the American Civil War, World War II, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War,
the War on Terror, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan,
and our present day mission preparedness.
Our mission is to honor the service and sacrifice of the American Soldier, Sailor, Airman and Marine over our Nation’s History through living history impressions, encampments, a Veterans recognition programs, lecture series and battle recreations.

Annual Multi - Era Tribute to the American Soldier event called "A Walk in Their Boots"
Through living history
encampments, demonstrations, lectures and displays, the educational
objective of the event is to honor those that lived, fought and died during
one of the of the most difficult moments of American and world history.
A Walk in Their Boots
presents a living history event "D-Day 75th Anniversary" WAS HELD AT Sycamore Shoals State Park
August 31st (Labor Day Weekend)

This was a Living History event with representations of any aspect
(Military and Civilian) with a focus upon the American Soldier as he lands
on the beaches of Normandy, June 6th, 1944 as part of "Operation Overlord",
the Allied invasion of Europe during WWII.
